This Playstation 3 version Of Section 8 features many improvements over the previous PC and Xbox 360 versions. the game has improved matchmaking and better graphics, and it also comes with 11 maps.
SUGAR LAND, Texas --(Business Wire)-- Mar 25, 2010 PlayStation®3 system fans can finally strap on their jetpacks and launch into the world of Section 8 on Thursday, March 25. Developed by TimeGate Studios, this full-featured, first-person shooter (FPS) deploys in North America for just $29.99 USD on the PlayStation®Store.
TimeGate’s sci-fi multiplayer FPS broke genre conventions when it was released on the Xbox 360® and PC last September, offering dynamic in-game objectives, “burn-in” spawning, customizable loadouts and deployable equipment. These features were designed to create deep, rewarding gameplay with an unprecedented amount of strategic control, and they deliver.
The PlayStation®3 system version of Section 8 offers superior graphics and enhanced game play, thanks to additional development time; rich, higher-res textures; and a streamlined multiplayer matchmaking system.
“We were very receptive to press and community feedback when developing Section 8 for the PlayStation®3 system,” says Robert Siwiak, Director of Production at TimeGate Studios. “We utilized the extra development time to expand content, enhance features, and took multiple steps to guarantee PlayStation®3 system fans will not be disappointed.”
Gamers who love single-player experiences will appreciate the game’s instant action mode, which supports multiple game types. Section 8 includes 11 maps, three of which were only available as premium content on other platforms.
Section 8 also allows users to host 32-player games through TimeGate’s proprietary TGNServer technology. This is the first time any game will allow users to use home PCs to host large multiplayer matches for PlayStation®3 system. Gamers can now download the TGNServer exclusively on FilePlanet.

Section 8 is being published on the PlayStation®Network by TimeGate Studios.

2K Games have officially announced that Mafia II is coming out in the USA on 24th August. the game will also be released internationally on 27th August. The game is coming out on PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
2K Games have also revealed that Mafia II will be playable by the public for the first time at this years Penny arcade Expo East (PAX East), it runs from 26-28 March at the Hynes Convention center in Boston.
NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- Mar 25, 2010 2K Games announced today that Mafia® II will be available in North America on August 24, 2010 and internationally on August 27, 2010 for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC. Mafia II is currently in development by 2K Czech, the same creative team behind the award-winning, genre-defining Mafia®, which captivated millions of gamers around the world.
Through a compelling narrative, Mafia II transports gamers into the dark and unforgiving world of the Mafia. The fiction is embellished by a sophisticated, era-evoking atmosphere that meticulously replicates the clothing, cars, music and advertising of 1940’s and 1950’s Americana. Players will easily become immersed in the game’s cinematic Hollywood-style experience with strong, believable characters in a living, breathing metropolis. By fusing high-octane gunplay with white-knuckle driving and an engaging narrative, Mafia II looks to be the industry’s most compelling Mafia title to date. According to IGN.com, “Mafia II is definitely at the top of our most wanted lists.”
Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian-American who is trying to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood. Vito, along with his lifelong friend, Joe, will descend into the world of organized crime. Looking to escape the life of hardship that his father led, Vito dreams about becoming a “made man,” and together with Joe, will work to prove themselves to the Mafia as they try to make their names on the streets. However, the two quickly realize that life as a wise guy isn’t quite as glamorous as it seems.
Additionally, Mafia II will be playable by the public for the first time at the Penny Arcade Expo East (PAX East) being held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts from March 26 – March 28 at the 2K Games booth (booth #103).
Mafia II is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. For more information on Mafia II, please visit www.mafia2game.com.
